By pressing on the red pin on the removable base, the removable plate can be removed without having to completely open the plate clamp. The clamping device for the removable plate is compatible with the Arca Swiss system and allows the use of various plates. The removable disc is rubberized and has three slots that can be used with either the 1/4" screw, which is particularly useful for cameras whose tripod threads are not centered on the camera base, so the disc can be centered for added stability.
